The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the German national agency for the support of international academic cooperation. We offer programs and funding for students, faculty, researchers and others in higher education, providing financial support to over 55,000 individuals per year. We also represent the German higher education system abroad, promote Germany as an academic and research destination, and help build ties between institutions around the world.

The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is a German political foundation with a Christian-Democratic profile. Through political education and counseling, the foundation campaigns worldwide for peace, freedom, and justice. Our principal aim is to preserve and promote liberal democracy and strengthen international dialogue. Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung is a partner of the European Union to strengthen democracy, promote party cooperation and non-state actors (civil society, media, etc.), carry out political education, and support good governance and decentralization. In cooperation with European and international partners, KAS also applies for EU service projects and benefits strongly from the worldwide institutional presence through its foreign offices as well as the broad network of local partners and experts on project-relevant topics. The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is committed to a free and just society based on solidarity, to a vibrant and strong democracy, to decent work and international responsibility. Our library contains 1 million publications and we issue around 260 of our own publications annually. More than 100,000 people take part in our events in Germany every year. Our archive material – laid side by side – would amount to 56 kilometers. The FES is the oldest political foundation in Germany – founded in 1925 and named after the first democratically elected Reich President Friedrich Ebert.
