CuSalus® is proud to design and manufacture cabinet hardware and accessories in the United States that are EPA certified antimicrobial. Our products kill 99.99% of harmful bacteria* in 2 hours. Every piece of CuSaluss hardware is manufactured at our factory in Torrington, Connecticut from EPA registered CuVerro® bactericidal copper alloys. We use two CuVerro® alloys, CuVerro V® and Cuverro II®. Each piece has been proven to continuously kill 99.99% of bacteria, 24/7 for as long as it is installed. CuSalus® , a division of Colonial Bronze, began offering antimicrobial cabinet hardware in 2011. Colonial Bronze is a family owned company and has been manufacturing fine cabinet hardware pieces since the 1920s. Colonial Bronze and its CuSalus® division are the only US hardware brands whose every product is certified sustainable by SCS Global services. Colonial Bronze, the manufacturer of CuSalus®, is a registered producer of antimicrobial copper products in compliance with EPA requirements, pursuant to 7 U.S.C. §136e. Our EPA facilities number is 87753-CT-001. In the U.S 2,000,000 people acquire infections in hospitals each year resulting in nearly 100,000 deaths. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates the direct cost of these infections at between $35 and $45 billion annually. These infections are caused by bacteria that thrive on objects we touch every day.
