We’re a young company that have achieved great things so far by creating a best in class styler range that is loved by stylists and consumers alike. We remain fiercely ambitious, with big growth plans, exciting new innovation in the pipeline and geographic expansion.
We pride ourselves on remaining true to our founding ethos - the spirit of transformation - and have established a position at the forefront of the competitive fashion styling sector, where we are renowned as one of the leading hair styling brands around the world and synonymous with style and sophistication.
A story of success, an impulse for innovation, and a relentless pursuit of simple, high-performing oil-infused beauty products fashioned an iconic brand: Moroccanoil. As the pioneer of oil-infused haircare, our original Moroccanoil Treatment created the worldwide buzz on argan oil and paved the way for an extensive line of premium oil-infused haircare products to address the needs of all hair types. By popular demand, Moroccanoil has launched Moroccanoil Body™: luxurious, head-to-toe collections inspired by the sea, sand, breeze, and scents of the Mediterranean. Infused with argan oil, signature to the brand, these proprietary formulas leave skin nourished, naturally radiant, and irresistibly beautiful. Today, Moroccanoil is available in over 85 countries worldwide.
SheaMoisture: Black founded & Black Led
Certified B Corp Hair & skin care made with fair trade ingredients and love
SheaMoisture is the legacy of founder and CEO Richelieu Dennis’ grandmother Sofi, who sold handcrafted shea butter soaps and salves in Sierra Leone to support her family, after she was widowed at a young age. Sofi became known as a healer throughout the countryside, and taught her recipes to her Richelieu.
Nubian Heritage had its humble beginnings in Harlem. After graduating from college, Richelieu and his best friend, Nyema Tubman, began selling their culturally authentic creations in Harlem as street vendors. Guided by the legacy of ancient Nubia, the world's first melting pot, we remix global healing traditions into modern wellness solutions.
Though our purpose-driven Community Commerce business model, SheaMoisture ethically sources shea butter from 15 women’s co-ops in Northern Ghana. We don’t just buy the women’s raw materials — we help them develop self-sustaining businesses. An ethical wage premium is paid to these enterprising women, and they become our partners, not just our suppliers. With their rise in income, they experience greater health, access to education and the benefits of financial freedom.
