CureGRN Information

At CureGRN, families come first. We stand with everyone affected by GRN-FTD, a type of frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) caused by the progranulin (GRN) genetic mutation. We provide resources and community for families and drive progress toward a future where this disease is understood, treatable, and ultimately prevented. Our mission is to strengthen community support, raise awareness, foster global collaboration, and accelerate research to find effective treatments and prevention strategies. FTD is one of the most common causes of early-onset dementia, and it is often misdiagnosed. This disease gradually robs people of the ability to think, speak, walk, and connect with others.
