In 1855, Dura opened the first carpentry store on Rotterdam's Katendrecht. Vermeer started its road company in Cruquius in 1961, and in 1998 we merged into the one company Dura Vermeer. De Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij BV (NAM) houdt zich sinds 1947 bezig met de opsporing en winning van aardgas en aardolie uit Nederlandse bodem. NAM concentreert zich op het onderhouden van bestaande locaties en het optimaal benutten van de bestaande velden. Nieuwe techniek, lagere kosten en slim gebruik van bestaande infrastructuur maken dit mogelijk. Daarnaast is NAM verantwoordelijk voor het veilig opruimen van locaties en putten die niet meer produceren, zoals het Groningen gasveld. Ruim 600 medewerkers proberen dit zo verantwoord mogelijk te doen. Luisteren naar onze omgeving speelt daarbij een belangrijke rol. Nu en in de toekomst.
