Center for Testing and European Certification (CTEC) is a private organization, created in 2002 as one of the first Bulgarian Notified Bodies for conformity assessment (testing, control and certification) of technical products by the European Commission under No. 1871 for the New Approach Directives: - 2006/95/ЕС Low Voltage Directive, - 2006/42/EC Machinery, - 2000/14/ЕС Noise emission in the environment by equipment for use outdoors, - Regulation(EU) No.305 Construction products. CTEC is a member of: Association of Notified Bodies for Construction Products, Forum of Notified Bodies, 25 Technical Committees for standardization with status of active member, Bulgarian Association of Electrical Engineering and Electronics (BASSEL), Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, Bulgarian Association "Club 9000“, Bulgarian Branch Chamber Machine Building, CIRCA, etc. AREAS OF SPECIFIC EXPERTISE 1.Laboratory for testing of construction products, accredited in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025 for carrying out mechanical, physical and chemical testing and reaction to fire testing of construction products. 2. Laboratory for testing of machinery, equipment and devices, accredited in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17025 for carrying out testing of safety, electromagnetic compatibility, noise, environmental impact. 3. Conformity assessment of construction products according to national and European technical specifications 4. Conformity assessment of machinery and electrical equipment 5. Management system certification: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001 6. Energy efficiency audits of buildings and industrial systems. 7. Technical surveillance of high risk equipment. 8. Inspection body accredited in accordance with the requirements of BDS EN ISO/IEC 17020 for exercising control for healthy and safe working conditions. 9.
