Introduced in 2017, Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineers Student Chapter uOttawa is the first Student Chapter linked with Canadian Society of Mechanical Engineers. With an established executive committee for the first time in 2017/2018, the student chapter has successfuly gotten the approval for the constitution. Following consistent growth, the 2017/2018 chapter is currently comprised of 12 University of Ottawa engineering students. By creating new student chapter, we hope to provide undergraduate and graduate students help with guidance in academics and where they want to end up in life. We are also planninng to attend CSME hosted meeting and plan on representing University of Ottawa at conferences as such. Through the support of community members and our University, CSME Student Chapter uOttawa will be able to help out student run teams financially and start committees within the chapter it self.
