Crux Capital is a value-add real estate investor, developer and venture capital investor active across Canada. We exist to build extraordinary value with others and learn from everything we do. Since 1990, our president, Peter Aghar, has led more than 100 real estate investments - including equity investments, joint ventures, private equity funds, public entities, debt investments and asset sales - with a total value of more than $10 billion. Investments have covered virtually all product types: office, retail, industrial, apartments, condominiums and specialized assets (including senior living, healthcare, self-storage and temperature-controlled properties). Investments have spanned across all major and secondary cities in Canada, as well as in the US, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand. At Crux Capital, we believe in Deals done differently™. We look for value-add real estate investment opportunities and joint ventures between $5 million and $50 million. We are quick, responsive, unfiltered, curious and open to all property types. Since 2013, Crux and its partners have purchased over 3 million square feet of commercial property and are participating in over 1 million square feet of development worth over $300 million. The crux in climbing and mountaineering is the most difficult section of a route, or the place where the greatest challenge and danger exists.
