Crowther Limited was originally a textile machine manufacturer from Leicester, England. In 1950, John Crowther came to Canada to establish Crowther Ltd as a division. Crowther Machinery soon evolved from a textile machine supplier to a broader industrial equipment representative. Today, while we are still heavily involved in the textile market, we are also a strong leader in static control solutions as well as marine lubricants. In 2005 Crowther acquired WS Wood Associates Limited, static control specialists, located in Cambridge, Ontario. In 2008 Crowther acquired Ross Whitehead, a long time leading Canadian distributor of textile equipment and accessories.
