Crocotta Research & Development A few years back, a man named Robert Sugar started an R&D company. The company was a way for him to explore ideas into visual computation and the irrepressibly alluring subject of artificial intelligence. Robert brought in a team of researchers to aid in the quest of advancing science and technology. As they continued their work, they began to notice the often growing disparity between science and tech advancements and the appropriate application for society's benefit. Unsurprisingly they were not the only ones to realise this. A global dialogue began growing in volume, concerning how to better channel the efforts of science and technology, and how better to assist these efforts. Progress was made in the sense that fragmented communities of academics, researchers, commercial sectors and government bodies realised that they were indeed very much fragmented. That each had their part to play, but collaborating ventures was, and continues to be, an ever challenging system that falters on the lack of connectivity and the placement of funds. Crocotta R&D has spent the last years battling to improve these systems. To come up with different working formats whilst conducting its own research and development projects. Today, after countless successes and failures, Crocotta has built itself to be an interwoven venture of tech, social action and community. Crocotta seeks to better the playing field in which it chooses to run, and to help make the science and tech industries that our societies deserve.
