In 2008 Cotton's son, Keith Burden, and son-in-law, Joseph Perrotto, joined Burden Incorporated as shareholders and officers. The company continues to grow and manage the family owned real estate portfolio and has expanded its business to include commercial real estate brokerage. Burden Incorporated currently manages a real estate portfolio valued at approximately $70,000,000; which includes professional office, retail, and mixed-use residential properties. Burden Incorporated serves as the primary asset manager, leasing agent and construction manager for tenant improvements for this portfolio of properties. The company is also responsible for developing and negotiating the acquisition and disposition of portfolio properties. Burden Incorporated has developed, re-developed, or overseen the substantial rehabilitation of several portfolio properties.
