creator builds robots that make great burgers. The mission: use robotics to make high-quality food accessible and affordable, starting with hamburgers at scale. We're part designer, part food revolutionary, part roboticist. The original crew of epicurious engineers, culinary scientists, human-centered designers, machinists, and fabricators are now joined by operators from Uber, Nuro, McDonald's, and Wendy's. Tech obsession meets restaurant reality. We started in a garage in 2012 as Momentum Machines. Five quiet years of engineering later, creator opened in San Francisco's SoMa district in 2018 - a fully autonomous system that sliced buns, ground and seared patties, melted cheese, and assembled burgers from whole ingredients, end to end. $6. Lines around the block. TIME called it one of the "World's Coolest Places." It worked. Then 2020 happened. The SoMa location went dark. 2021 was a blur. In 2022 we opened inside the Tesla Factory in Fremont - precision manufacturing feeding precision manufacturing. In 2023 large QSR brands started calling. In 2024 we made a random connection that brought us back properly. Today creator is back, bigger and smarter. The platform has been redesigned for food retail operators with existing kitchens - no gut renovation, no robotics degree required. Deploy it under the creator brand or your own. The brand carries on, but the platform is bigger than the brand. No gimmicks. No robot theater for robot theater's sake. Just damn good burgers, built by machines that finally grew up. If you want to touch the most people, make food.
