Founder of Creative Iron, artisan and blacksmith, Craig Guerin, began his career in decorative wrought iron at the age of 17 years. Craig gained early experience working on prestigious houses in areas such as Toorak, South Yarra and the CBD of Melbourne. Craig's skills and expertise developed quickly and within a few years Craig was designing, quoting and manufacturing large and small projects. In 1994, Craig reached a crossroads in his career when he had to choose between becoming a partner in the Melbourne business or venture out on his own. Having recently visited family in beautiful, tropical Darwin, Craig made the decision that this was where his future would be and so began Darwin based Creative Iron. With over 30 years' experience in the creation of decorative wrought iron beauty, elegance and superior craftsmanship have become synonymous with the Creative Iron trademark. Craig's work can now be seen in so many places all across Darwin, the rural area, Katherine and other NT locations. Craig's work can also be seen appearing at interstate locations, in particular, on Sydney's north shore harbour homes. With skilful precision Craig has perfected the intriguing unison of the age old craft of blacksmithing with the cutting edge and contemporary ideas of the modern day to create aesthetically pleasing designs of sheer elegance.
