At CRDC Global, we’re tackling two of the world’s most urgent challenges—plastic pollution and climate change—with one powerful solution: RESIN8™. RESIN8™ is a recycled-content building material made primarily from plastic waste that is difficult of impossible to recycle using standard methods. Added to concrete and asphalt, it looks and behaves exactly like construction sand. But concrete enriched with RESIN8™ gets lighter, more durable, and more energy-efficient than conventional concrete. Asphalt pavements with RESIN8™ improve too: roads need fewer repairs, and they last longer. Building with RESIN8™ does more than divert waste from landfill, incineration, and the environment. It lowers the carbon footprint of plastic waste management; conserves mined mineral aggregates; protects sensitive wildlife habitats; and combats the tragic escape of unmanaged plastics into rivers and the ocean. Together with our partner subsidiaries in Costa Rica, the United States, South Africa and Australia, CRDC Materials sells RESIN8™ to governments, developers, and manufacturers leading the global transition to climate-resilient construction. We are the flagship commercial implementation of REAP (Recover - Enrich - Appreciate - Prosper), the regenerative Zero Waste business framework of the Center for Regenerative Design and Collaboration (CRDC) in Costa Rica. REAP was recognized as a People's Choice Finalist for the World Economic Forum Circularity Award in 2016. The company's broad roster of waste management, construction, and international humanitarian partners include Habitat for Humanity, the United Nations Development Programme, the United Nations Environmental Programme.
