Court 13 Information

Court 13 is a New Orleans based 501(c)3 non-profit arts engine whose mission is to build creative ecosystems for artists and filmmakers throughout the Gulf South. Through education and public programming, we cultivate multi-disciplinary artistic collaboration for the economic and cultural development of our community. Court 13 was founded in 2015 by Benh Zeitlin, writer and director of Beasts of the Southern Wild. Off the back of back of the 90 awards & 4 Oscar nominations Beasts received, Court 13 was created to give back to the community that helped make the film. Our vision is to connect artists and filmmakers with the resources they need to make similarly meaningful and wide reaching art. For through the journey of art, we connect, we build, and we thrive.
