At Co:Terra, our mission is to create local economies, where communities are actively and responsibly in control over the land-based resources around them. Land misuse is as much a socioeconomic problem as it as biophysical problem, and there’s an inherent linkage between land sovereignty, economic inequality, and climate resilience. We must urgently rethink the way we use our land and the systems that prevent access to land ownership. If land sovereignty is life, we know life is about more than financial prosperity. The true spatial value of our land is in the many other forms of capital it generates – the jobs provided, the educational opportunities, the nutritional literacy, and the co-created community goodness. All businesses, government entities, and NGO's, regardless of industry, have the ability to influence land-based decisions. Co:Terra works closely with you and your partners to identify, develop, and activate the most impactful and appropriate solutions.
