SCHOOL COMMUNITY Established in 1970 and governed by a Board of Directors, CGS is one of Greece’s oldest and most prestigious private schools, providing educational programs from the pre-school to the secondary school level. Located in Pallini, a northern suburb of Athens on a 67,000 m2 campus, CGS has a student population of 1916. The student body is comprised primarily of Greek nationals but there is an emerging international and bi-cultural student population from North America, Europe and Asia including the UK, USA, Canada, China, Italy, Finland, Cyprus, Sweden, The Netherlands, Russia, Australia, South Africa, Argentina, Mexico, France and Switzerland. There has also been a growing number of students transferring to CGS from public schools, with an increase of 20%. In the academic year 2022-23, there were 264 new enrollments of students coming from both public and private schools.
