The Baton Rouge North Economic Development District (BRNEDD) is a historic region located in the Parish of East Baton Rouge in the State of Louisiana, established by Louisiana State Legislative Acts 433 and 528 in 2015 and 2016, respectively. BRNEDD is an essential political subdivision created to provide for substantial economic activity and employment opportunities. Our 9-member Board of Commissioners is appointed to manage the District.

The primary focus of Etowah County Economic Development is to promote the Little Canoe Creek Mega-Site. The one-owner, county-owned mega-site includes 1,100 acres and is located adjacent to Interstate 59 with Class 1 rail service through Norfolk Southern. This is the only mega-site in North Alabama that holds the Alabama AdvantageSite designation. The goal of Etowah County Economic Development is to recruit a large industry that will bring high-paying jobs and economic growth to the region to enhance the quality of life of our citizens.
