Cortex Glass develops and delivers advanced Hot End Inspection, Monitoring and Control systems for the container, pharmaceutical, and C&P glass industry. Our AI-driven camera systems combine high speed infrared imaging, real-time analytics, and smart process control to help glass plants increase yield, improve container quality, save energy, and reduce waste — fully aligned with Industry 4.0 / Smart Factory principles. Our Systems GobWatch – Monitors the entire gob forming process, controls gob weight, detects inclusions (seeds, bubbles, stones, cords), and rejects defective gobs immediately after the IS-machine. BlankWatch – Utilizes thermal and high-speed cameras at each section to measure gob loading and the temperatures of key forming components such as the blank mold, plunger, and neck ring, ensuring optimal thermal balance and consistent forming performance. ISWatch – Uses infrared cameras and AI neural networks to inspect every hot bottle leaving the IS-machine. It analyzes glass distribution, temperature, symmetry, verticality, and dimensions, while rejecting defects like bird swings, fins, stones, blisters, wedge bottoms, and spikes. TopWatch – Captures top-view infrared images of hot bottles to inspect the bottle bottom for defects such as spikes, stuck glass, and other irregularities. The system also measures bottle position and rotation, automatically rejecting any misaligned, stuck, or fallen ware. FinishWatch – Focused on the bottle finish area, detecting finish defects that could lead to sealing and closure problems. Each system features an intuitive touchscreen interface and provides live production data stored in local or centralized databases, enabling traceability, optimization, and remote monitoring. Our mission is to empower glass manufacturers with real-time process intelligence, enabling faster decisions, higher efficiency, and a new level of Hot End inspection and control.
