Corrina Rothwell Information

I am a Nottingham-based artist and illustrator originally from Rochdale. Inspired by the ordinary things in life, I make illustrative drawings which are quirky and contemporary with a refreshing take on modern life. Liberally dosed with wordplay, humour and imagination, my work usually combines words with pictures. It's equally important for me to come up with exactly the right words for a picture as it is to get the image right. Often my drawings begin life as a word or phrase which has sparked my imagination. I use a graphics tablet to create my images which are then realised as limited edition prints and greeting cards. My work has a broad appeal across the age spectrum and is simultaneously accessible and unconventional.
