Corpus Christi Api Information

The Corpus Christi Chapter of API is a service-oriented organization comprised of individuals in and around oilfield related businesses. The main goal of our chapter is to raise funds for college scholarships. We do this by hosting several events throughout the year. In March, we have the Sporting Clays Shoot. We start off the new year with a bang - so to speak. Everybody gets back into the spirit of things while showing off their moving target shooting skills. In May, we team up with the Corpus Christi Chapter of SPE to host the very successful API/SPE Golf Tournament. Each year, the number of entrants has grown. In 2005, we hosted close to 500 entrants - our biggest year yet! In July, we have the Fishing Tournament. Anglers and "wannabes" alike have a great time catching the big one while they lend a hand in raising funds for our scholarships. In September, we have the Roping, Skeet Shoot & Cook-off. This event has taken on a life of its own and grown beyond anything we could imagine. It's a great way to cap off a great year. Where would we be without our sponsors for each event? No where near we are now! Our sponsors help defray the operating costs of hosting such large events. With each event, we add to our funds and in turn are able to offer a great number of scholarships to our up and coming, college bound students. We award yearly scholarships of $1,000.00 to students who show evidence they are serious about their education. Interested in joining our chapter?
