So this is what the Sovereign LORD says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation, the one who trusts will never be dismayed." - Isaiah 28:16 In Biblical times, a foundation’s cornerstone was a most critical aspect of a building’s construction, however, the reason for this may be somewhat unclear. This single piece of material had to be perfectly straight, square, and true because it determined the entire project’s overall shape. A poorly selected cornerstone resulted in an undesirable end product. As believers, we feel that Cornerstone Engineering must operate under a higher set of standards, similar to our Biblical namesake.
