After the January 2010 earthquake Cordaid opened up a field office in Haiti. From there we run a major shelter & reconstruction program as well as a mental health program designed for survivors of the earthquake. Cordaid combines more than 90 years of experience and expertise in emergency aid and structural poverty eradication. We are one of the biggest international development organisations with a network of almost a thousand partner organisations in 36 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. With these partners we work on various themes, including participation, emergency aid and reconstruction, health and well-being and entrepreneurship. Cordaid is a member of the worldwide catholic Caritas network.
