We handle the whole of a closure project, from first conversation to final delivery. Most people come to us for a closure or an embellishment. What they get is everything around it: the technical guidance, the design and development, prototypes you can hold, independent lab testing, sourcing, finishing, storage and delivery. One brief, one team, the whole project handled. Every closure begins with cork, the seal at the heart of the bottle. We work with some of the finest cork producers in Portugal, across every grade from natural to micro-agglomerated and synthetic. Above it sits the bartop, or stopper, where the character lives: wood, metal, precious metal, or a combination, finished with engraving, printing, plating, embossing or hand-applied detailing. Embellishments need not sit on the closure at all. A crest on the shoulder, a band around the neck, a medallion or a cage around the bottle itself. Our work combines head, heart and hands. Long-held traditional skills, silversmithing, engraving and fine finishing, brought together with the latest techniques and managed in-house. It is meticulous, often difficult work, and the kind we do best. We work at every level of ambition, from clean production runs to one-off pieces in precious metal, on projects larger packaging companies cannot consider: low in volume, high in craft, unique to each brand. Our silversmithing, engraving and fine metalwork now sit alongside our cork and closure work under the single Corcelo name.
