CooperRiis Healing Community Information

Our Mission: Our healing mission is to improve the lives of individuals struggling with mental illness or other mental health challenges by helping them work towards achieving their highest levels of functioning and fulfillment. CooperRiis Healing Community is a nonprofit residential mental health program for adults navigating complex mental health conditions, including diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, and some personality disorders. At CooperRiis, healing happens in community. We provide a peaceful, relationship-centered environment where individuals can rediscover their strengths, creativity, and capacity for meaningful connection. Our approach integrates clinical care with purposeful work, wellness, and shared daily life, supporting each person in rebuilding stability and hope. Our Vision We envision a future where stigma no longer defines mental health, where recovery is expected and supported, and where individuals living with mental illness are welcomed as valued, contributing members of their communities. We believe recovery from serious mental illness is possible, and that it looks different for each person. At CooperRiis, residents define what recovery means for them, whether that includes independent living, meaningful employment, deeper relationships, or a renewed sense of purpose.
