Cooper Williams LLC is a full-service certified public accounting firm with expertise in tax, accounting, assurance, business, and income tax provision services for clients ranging from large corporations to closely-held businesses and individual taxpayers. Phil Cooper leads the firm and directs the tax department. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Utah State University in 1983 and has over 30 years of experience in tax and financial management. As Tax Partner at Deloitte, Phil specialized in income tax provision work and taught national seminars on income tax accounting. He was Tax Director at Deseret Management Corporation, Chief Financial Officer at Weider Europe, and Tax Director at Weider Nutrition International before establishing Philip H. Cooper & Company LLC in 2005. Rex Williams joined to form Cooper Williams LLC in 2011. Phil has acclaimed expertise in ASC 740 and consults several companies that have worldwide operations. Rex Williams directs the accounting and assurance department. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1979 and his Master of Business Administration degree from Utah State University in 1999. Rex has over 30 years of audit and accounting management experience, including at PwC, as Senior Manager of Financial Auditing at Deseret Management Corporation, and as Controller of Western Financial Savings Bank.
