Our playbook includes three simple strategies: Through our PlacesForBikes program we help communities quickly build better places to ride of all types. Our Community Grants Program provides financial support for some of these projects. Our Bike Network Analysis tool helps cities and towns identify and correct weak spots in their bike networks. Our first City Ratings program (going public in May) and our acclaimed PlacesForBikes Conference clearly show city leaders where their communities stand on bicycling, and help them improve quickly. We work with federal, state and local leaders to advance bike project funding and pro-bike laws. We develop Congressional champions. We monitor all 50 state legislatures and support the work of state and local advocacy groups. Our business members and individual backers speak up for bike riding in communities nationwide. As a result, government agencies have invested nearly $20 billion to build thousands of miles of new U.S. lanes, paths and trails in the last 20 years. We explain how people and places benefit from safe, accessible, convenient and fun bike rides. We research, measure and quantify the many positive outcomes of bicycling. Bike Works has been working for kids, bikes, and community since 1996, working to empower youth and make bicycling accessible and affordable for everyone. Our programs invest in young people and encourage bicycling as a clean and healthy transportation alternative. Located in the heart of Columbia City, we are committed to working in institutionally-neglected neighborhoods in south Seattle that lack easily accessible community programs and safe public spaces. Through time-intensive after-school mentoring programs and innovative bike riding opportunities, we reach youth who are not usually attracted to traditional enrichment activities, and help them realize their own self-worth within a community that supports, encourages and strengthens them. We also have programs for adults to empower each of us to know how to fix and maintain our own bike, and to get bikes into the hands of those who couldn't otherwise afford one. The Bike Works Bicycle Shop is committed to serving Seattle with affordable bicycle sales and professional service. We are a full-service repair shop that also sells quality used bikes and various bike parts and accessories. We want to be your local bike shop. We'll help you keep your old bike going, dial your bike in for a better fit, fix what's broken, or help you find a bike that fits both your dreams and your budget. Our Recycle & Reuse Department processes nearly 7,000 bikes every year that are donated to us by individuals, community groups, and through our partnership with Recology Cleanscapes. They sift through these bikes to identify which can be refurbished and sold in our shop, used in our youth & adult programs, given away to community members who wouldn't otherwise have access, stripped for parts, or responsibly recycled. Bike Works is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that relies on individual and donations + income from our bike shop. 100% of proceeds from the shop benefit our year-round youth and community programs.

Revolution Cycles, Inc. is a privately owned and operated group of bicycle retail stores in the DC Metro area. Established in 1997, each Revolution Cycles retail location is comprised of both a full service center and a comprehensive sales department featuring bicycles and bicycle accessories. In addition to the company's focus on providing excellent customer service to individuals, Revolution Cycles is also a provider and manager of various BikeShare programs in the DC Metro area with businesses, parks and government divisions. From 2010-2012, the Revolution Cycles City Hub in Crystal City, Virginia offered people-managed bike sharing in addition to providing rentals, a full service department and a full complement of cycling accessories.
