CoolCatch is East Africa's cold chain operating system, moving fish from farmgate to retail shelf with zero waste and maximum efficiency. We found the missing middle of East Africa's fish value chain and built the infrastructure to fix it. Our model combines outsourced processing, a solar-powered cold chain, a proprietary ERP and traceability platform, and a network of franchised women entrepreneurs at the last mile into one seamless system. From every cluster of informal fish retailers we identify the community champion and upgrade her into a tech-enabled Smart Agent, backed by asset financing, guaranteed supply, and real-time data. The retailers around her get reliable, affordable, traceable fish. The farms above her get guaranteed offtake and fair payment. The communities she serves get dignified protein on their plates. Our franchise partners have seen a 40% increase in profits. Communities we serve have gained 33% more access to fresh fish. Every hub we activate is a livelihood created, a farm secured, and a family better fed. Fish is our first value chain.
