Cook's Computers is proud to provide a warranty for most services and products that we offer. For your convenience we have created this to explain each of the levels of warranties we provide with our products and services. As-Is, No Warranty: These are products that have no warranty expressed or implied. Batteries, unless sold new, fall into this category as batteries are considered a consumable item. This includes laptop and UPS batteries. DOA (Dead on Arrival): Products sold with a DOA warranty are sold generally on EBay. Winning bidders have 10 days to test the product for functionality. If the item is found to be defective, the buyer can send the item back and, upon verification of serial numbers and defect, receive a refund for the winning bid or a comparable replacement. Shipping is non-refundable. If serial numbers do not match item sent, warranty is void. 30-Day Labor Guarantee: All Service falls with-in this category. All Labor completed is warranted for 30 days from the original point of service. Software or hardware defects unrelated to the original issue are not covered under the labor warranty and subject to further charges.* 90-Day Parts Guarantee: All tested refurbished parts come with a 90-day warranty from the date of purchase. If a suitable replacement cannot be found or if the product cannot be fixed, the sale price will be refunded minus shipping, if any. New Components: New Products are covered under the factory warranty. Warranty period is listed on the invoice or packaging for OEM parts. Most hardware parts have a one-year warranty from date of purchase. Software data failures due to defective parts are not covered by any warranty, users are recommended to make regular backups of their software. New Systems: New systems sold by Cook's Computers come with a two-year manufacturers parts and labor warranty unless otherwise noted on invoice.
