Constructive Architecture was founded with the philosophy that even simple materials have their own valuable expression and that architecture can be intrinsically sustainable. Every project is an opportunity to build well. A registered architect, Kathleen Maker earned the Master of Architecture degree from M.I.T. and holds the B.A. degree in Linguistics from the University of Oregon. After receiving the baccalaureate she completed two tours with the Peace Corps, serving in Afghanistan and Ecuador with a Volunteer of the Year commendation. Innovation, iterative study and collaboration are tools we employ towards discovering unique character in a building and our ongoing goal is to convey and share a genuine delight in the design process!
