Construction Careers was formed By Vince Melican in 2002. Vince entered Sydneys' Construction recruitment market in 1996 and specialises in professional contract and permanent appointments to the Construction, Property and engineering industries. (Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Electrical / Environmental) As well as managing recruitment for most of Sydney's major property and construction companies, Vince has also successfully managed engineering recruitment for some major FMCG/Pharmaceutical/Hi-Tech manufacturing organisations. He worked for Two Top Executive Recruiters, namely www.calibrate.com.au and www.technicalfocus.com.au for six and two years respectively and still maintains a strong relationship with both these companies. Prior to 1996, Vince gained 15 years project management experience with Willmot Dixons, Jarvis and Mullaley's in the UK based construction and engineering industry. He liaised with clients from both public and private sectors under various contractual arrangements. Notable clients included British Telecom, London Underground, British Rail, Thames Water Authority, British Broadcasting Corporation, Thames Valley Police, and HM Prison Authorities.
