Consorzio ZAI is the public body that manages one of the biggest european intermodal infrastructure: the "Quadrante Europa" Freight Village (Interporto). Quadrante Europa is the most important italian intermodal platform, the first for flows (6 millions by train, 20 millions by truck in 2012) and one of the biggest for the logistics real estate development. Every week 107 couples of freight trains connect Quadrante Europa to more than 20 destinations in Germany. 3 millions square meters developed, 100 companies located and 10.000 people employed: this is the actual situation of the Quadrante Europa freight village, but it is still growing.
