Temple Shalom of Newton is a vibrant and growing Reform Jewish community of roughly 650 families. We have a diverse congregation and a wide variety of programs and activities. Our collaborative staff and lay leaders are eager to help new and existing members engage in ways that are meaningful to them and make the process of receiving and sharing information smooth and efficient.

Our Reform Congregation offers weekly Shabbat services, monthly Tot Shabbat, Religious & Hebrew School as well as training for Bar/Bat Mitzvah, educational opportunities for adults and families, social and social action programming and activities, cultural events and more. Temple Israel is a founding member of the Union for Reform Judaism and is served by Senior Rabbi Sharon Mars, Cantor Bat-Ami Moses and Rabbi Educator Sam Klein.
