Conover Landscape Information

Conover Landscape is a licensed Landscape and General Engineering contracting company, established in March of 1978. The owner, William "Chuck" Conover, is also a licensed Landscape Architect. Chuck grew up in Walnut Creek next door to where his father grew up. He attended Walnut Creek schools. Chuck graduated from UC Berkeley in 1974 with a degree in Landscape Architecture. During his college years, he gained invaluable knowledge working at Navlet's Nursery in Danville. After college and military service, Chuck worked with a distinguished landscape company, Sutton Landscape, and was able to gain invaluable experience from the owner. In 1976, because of the effects of a protracted drought in California, Chuck found work with a cement contractor and was able to learn another part of the trade while he operated their equipment and helped with projects. In 1978, Chuck successfully passed the Contractor's License test and was awarded the C27, landscape license. In March of 1978, Conover Landscape was established. In 1982, Chuck took over his dad's excavating business. He continued this until 1989, and again learned invaluable skills and knowledge that he uses today. During this time, he successfully completed, passed, and added the additional classification to his license of "A" General Engineering. In the summer of 1996, Chuck successfully passed the State of California test for Landscape Architects and was awarded the license of Landscape Architecture. From 1989 to the present, Conover Landscape has focused all of the experience gained over the years to create beautiful, long-lasting gardens, to satisfied clients. As the landscape industry continues to change and improve, Chuck has rigorously kept up to date with the latest construction techniques, technology, products, methods, materials, and new plant introductions.
