CONO was formed in 1976 to help neighborhoods improve the quality of life for their residents. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit that envisions a community in which everybody loves their neighborhood. Our mission is to inspire neighbors to create vibrant communities. We believe the core components of a vibrant community include: Unique Destinations, Neighborhood Pride, Connected Relationships, an Activated Community, Sustainability and Resilience, and Safety and Accessibility. In order to build vibrant communities, we inspire neighbors to make connections, build relationships, and create positive change. We help neighbors connect, relate, and create through our signature programs: Neighborhood Gatherings, Neighborhood Advocacy, and Neighborhood Network.
