The Connecticut Sports Management Group (CSMG) is a small 501(c) 3 not-for-profit business in Middletown, CT dedicated to running the Nutmeg State Games (NutmegStateGames.org) and the CT Masters' Games (CTMastersGames.org) - The two largest Olympic Style Multi Sport events in CT. Founded over 30 years ago, founder Bill Mudano created the Nutmeg State Games with the intention of breaking down of socio-economic, religious and ethnic barriers and to abate some long standing stereotypes by fostering the camaraderie that naturally develops through the common bond of athletics. At the time, athletes were limited to playing opponents based mainly on their zip code and school size. No athlete has ever been denied entry to the "Games" due to financial hardship. In 2002 CSMG was formed when the Board of Directors voted to take over the Senior Olympics. Now known as the CT Masters Games, the goal remains to inspire ongoing development of senior/master athlete’s physical and competitive abilities and to promote a healthy lifestyle at any age.
