The American Chemical Society (ACS) was founded in 1876 and is a congressionally chartered independent membership organization that represents professionals at all degree levels and in all fields of the chemical sciences. The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States.
