CongestedCat Productions Information

CongestedCat Productions, LLC. is a film production company composed of young filmmakers, artists, and entrepreneurs. It was co-founded by filmmaker Christina Raia & photographer Chris Carroll in May of 2011. Christina & Chris grew up together on Long Island. They were both drawn to the arts and aspired to lead creative careers. Christina has had a lifelong dream of being a Writer/Director while Chris loves photography and has always been attuned to visual effects. In May of 2011, after Christina wrote her second short screenplay that she intended to direct & produce, the two decided to collaborate and establish a production company that would bring a fresh perspective to the art of filmmaking. We began pre-production for Christina's film, "Come Here Often?", in June of that year. It was through that production that we added to our team, bringing on key members Matt Gershowitz, Kelsey Rauber, and Ryan Kramer. We have worked together producing films, entering video competitions and continuously creating video content. We have now produced several short films that have screened at festivals and just wrapped production on our first feature film, Summit, in February of 2013. Post-production is now underway for the film, which we expect to be completed this year in order to enter the festival circuit in 2014. Our latest projects are a comedic webseries titled 'Kelsey' and IndieWorks, a monthly film screening to help showcase & support local film in NYC.
