Compospack Information

Compospack manufactures certified compostable food-grade packaging for restaurants, food chains, delivery operators, bakeries and retail. We design and produce it in our own plant in Mexico City, as a manufacturer and not as a reseller. Our starting point is not a catalog mold but how the product actually travels: temperature, time on shelf or in delivery, and handling conditions. The package is derived from that analysis. We call this method ecodesign, and it is the reason we have been able to replace plastic packaging without compromising delivery conditions. Our product lines: • Delivery line, for takeout and home delivery, including an Asian-food variant. • Deli line, for hot and refrigerated counters and retail, with an inner tray and a clear window. • Bakery line, for bread and pastry. • Custom development when the catalog does not meet the product requirements. Our packaging is built on Kraft paperboard and sulfate board treated with LÁMICO®, our proprietary barrier coating, which avoids plastic lamination. When the product requires visibility, we integrate a PLA window, a corn-based biopolymer. Compostability: Disintegration in 90 to 180 days. Compostable and biodegradable are not equivalent terms, a distinction supported by environmental regulations.
