Complementary Colors was founded by Jonah Disend to produce content that captures universal themes in unexpected ways. Complementary Colors produced the feature film Mayday from writer/director Karen Cinorre starring Grace Van Patten, Mia Goth, and Juliette Lewis, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. They are producing the series adaptations of James McBride’s Deacon King Kong and Lydia Millet’s A Children’s Bible. Both books were named to the New York Times list of Ten Best Books of the Year, and are being produced alongside SISTER under their first-look deal.
