Compass Point Survey Group, Inc., a land surveying and mapping firm, was created in September of 2004 to work with private and public design and development projects. We perform a wide range of surveying and mapping services - from simple corner surveys or sketch maps to surveys for major private and public design surveys and construction projects. In 2004, Compass Point Survey had 6 employees - 4 field survey technicians, an office survey technician, an administrative assistant and the owner/land surveyor. We now have 1 office/field survey technician and the owner/land surveyor. With the reduction in field personnel, we have migrated to more advanced technology and continue to serve our private and public clients with full surveying services. Always, our emphasis is providing clients with high quality, professional work. Technology has improved nearly every industry and that includes ours. We've always been at the forefront of the latest advances as long as they help improve accuracy and efficiency. Using a robotic total station and GPS/GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) with the WSRN (Washington State Real-time Network) allows our one or two man crews to be highly productive quicker, and with less overhead. Our team has provided surveying services for many public and private projects throughout Whatcom County.
