Compass Development Services is a full service project management and development service company. Compass provides hospitality and commercial real estate clients with the planning and execution expertise necessary to successfully lead projects from conception through completion. Compass is comprised of an engaging team of dedicated professionals with diverse backgrounds. We offer a range of services to help our clients acquire, develop, or transform their properties to maximize asset value. Compass was founded in 2009 by Jim Zaun. Prior to forming Compass, Jim was the Vice President of Architecture and Construction for Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc., one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world. Our involvement may start in the acquisition, development, conversion, renovation, or disposition phase. The range of services we provide include due diligence/property surveys, feasibility, project team assembly and management, programming/scope development, budgeting, scheduling, design phase management, FF&E management, construction bidding and award, contract management, on-site construction project management, and pre-opening services. We can also provide capital planning assistance, and provide restoration/recovery services and assist with claims negotiations. Our team is comprised of dedicated professionals with a broad range of skill sets and senior management level experience in both the hospitality and commercial real estate sectors. Our team's experience includes architecture, design, engineering, feasibility, finance, development, and operations. The team we assign will be selected to best fit the needs of our client. In addition, Compass has a vast network of design, development, and construction professionals in all disciplines throughout North America. Compass is a fully licensed and insured Connecticut LLC that provides services throughout North America and the Caribbean.
