Our Mission: To deliver heirloom-quality Mexican blankets at an accessible and honest price, honoring ethical trade, sustainable production, and Mexican heritage. Through our equity-share model, our producers share directly in Compadre’s success, weaving trust and respect into every aspect of our business. Our Model: Based in Austin, Texas, Compadre works hand-in-hand with skilled artisans in South-Central Mexico to create timeless, responsibly made blankets. We’re reimagining the traditional producer–brand relationship through a profit-share system that goes beyond fair compensation. In addition to paying our makers an above-market rate, we return a growing share of company profits to their workshops each year. This model helps sustain their businesses, strengthen their communities, and ensure that every blanket carries a legacy of collaboration and care.
