Since 1903, Fisher has been providing life-changing experiences to students by focusing on the three most important aspects of a college experience: education, dedication, and life. Classes at Fisher College are small, focused, and provide an intimate experience so you get the most out of them. Our dedicated staff includes full-time faculty advisors and our classes are taught by professors, not teaching assistants, so you are surrounded by opportunities to learn. We also believe that life outside the classroom is an equally important part of your college experience. The Fisher community gives you opportunities to get involved and figure out what's important to you outside of academics.

Located next to Braintree's historic district and just up the hill from the MBTA’s final Red Line stop is the historic 34-acre campus of Thayer Academy. Since 1877, our coeducational day school for grades 5-12 (Middle School, grades 5-8; Upper School, grades 9-12) has been an enabling and ennobling environment where each student is affirmed, supported, and challenged to take on responsibilities, ambitions, and achievements. Thayer continues to be a place where tradition and innovation meet, and where students form lifelong relationships with one another and with inspiring teachers who care deeply about their students' personal growth and academic success.

We are a nursery through 12, independent school founded in 1889 with two campuses, city and rural, in Providence, RI, and Seekonk, MA. Our mission is “To learn our powers and be answerable for their use.” Our founder, Mary Colman Wheeler, was an artist and educator who wanted to create an educational environment grounded in students’ curiosity, academic excellence, and hands-on experience, where students would learn their powers and become answerable for their use. Miss Wheeler’s vibrant vision of what education should look and feel like remains at the core of our approach today. We give each student the opportunity to learn by doing and collaborating, to explore new interests and grow in their passions, to build their self-awareness and confidence through leadership and service, and to develop the critical thinking and skills they need to be thoughtful, engaged, and contributing citizens of the world.
