We are Nesta, the research and innovation foundation. We use a wide range of innovation methods to design, test and scale new ideas and solutions to the biggest challenges of our time. We are a UK charity and our work is enabled by a financial endowment. We are registered in England and Wales with charity no. 1144091 and in Scotland with no. SC042833.

As the voice of the UK’s co-operative movement, we empower and support co-operative enterprise with specialised knowledge and expertise, to grow the co-operative economy and create a fairer society. From football clubs and farms, to convenience stores and pubs, there are more than 7,000 co-operatives in the UK, each owned and controlled by their members and based on a set of shared principles and values. By promoting shared wealth through member ownership, we are committed to enable anyone in the UK to form, or join, thriving and sustainable co-ops.

Over 3.8 million people in the UK are living in destitution - and that number is rising. At Big Issue Group, we’re working to change that. Through our journalism, investing, and recruitment services, we create opportunities for people affected by poverty to work, earn, learn and thrive, offering real-world solutions for people to lift themselves out of poverty.
