As the profession’s oldest and largest professional membership organization for design—with 72 chapters and more than 25,000 members—we advance design as a professional craft, strategic advantage, and vital cultural force. World Studios (previously Design for America) is Northwestern's student-run, human-centered design network. Re-founded in 2026, our mission is to build a nationwide community of impact through education, practice, and design innovation. We're a collection of thinkers, makers, tinkerers, and doers from a wide range of disciplines, working across 30+ university studios nationwide, united by a shared belief that design can create meaningful social change.
