Community Capacity Development Information

Community Capacity Development (CCD) is a Human Justice and Healing organization with a mission to uproot the systemic challenges by creating viable blueprints to the address economic, social, psychological and environmental challenges in BIPOC communities. CCD's core values lie in empowering communities by building their capacity to address the complex issues they face. Understanding that effective solutions must be rooted in the lived experiences and expertise of community members, CCD places community liaising at the forefront of their approach. By forging connections with community leaders, activists, local organizations, and grassroots initiatives, CCD ensures that the voices of those directly impacted by gun violence are not only heard but also become active participants in the process of change. Our skilled team of community liaisons works tirelessly to bridge the gap between affected communities and the necessary resources, support systems, and policies required to combat gun violence effectively.
