In its strategic plan CARDO -SL is working to empower the local community in issues relating to education, poverty reduction and the empowerment of women. Currently, the organization has only 5 full time staff members and 7 volunteers who work on part time basis. the organization has grown from a community-based organization to a non-profit NGO, operating in the thematic areas of education, human rights and advocacy. It seeks to create a future of hope for under-served children, women and their communities by helping them to build their skills and resources to reduce their vulnerability in a sustainable way.
