Communication University of China, Nanjing, approved by the Ministry of Education of China, is a non-profit independent college set up in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province in 2004 under the new mode of running private universities with independent legal persons. It is also the only applied university of Media Arts in Jiangsu Province. The board of directors adheres to the original purpose of running schools for the public good and repaying the society, hoping to make Nanguang a first-class Media University in China and a famous university with international influence for a century. As the only media Application-oriented Undergraduate University in Jiangsu Province and an important place for the cultivation of Applied Talents in Media Arts in China, Nanguang University now has 13,000 full-time undergraduates and has transported more than 30,000 graduates for the industry training. The average annual employment rate of graduates is more than 99%, and the competitiveness of employment ranks first among similar colleges and universities in Jiangsu for six consecutive years. Among them, a number of new literary and artistic stars, such as renowned actors Ni Ni and Baike, emerged. Zheng Chao, a business leader under 30 years old in Forbes Asia, represented a group of startup alumni, and a large number of outstanding alumni were employed in state-level media and well-known cultural media organizations such as CCTV. In 2017, the number of students enrolled in the school entrance examination for arts majors reached 58,000 and 86,000. The admission rate for arts majors only reached 4%, which exceeded the admission rate of Ivy League schools in the United States.
