Common Space is a multi-disciplinary design and creative studio founded in 2006 by Jon Santos. We are an award-wInning design studio specializing in brand identity design for print, web and broadcast media. Our client base is a mix of hard working people who define the contemporary landscape of arts and culture in New York City: Entertainment, Fashion, Restaurant & Hospitality, Music, Design and Non-Profits. Common Space was nominated for the 2012 James Beard Foundation award for Outstanding Restaurant Graphics and was a recipient of an AIGA Gold Medal. Santos has been an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute of the Arts for 6 years and between 2000 and 2011 he was a visiting artist at Sint-Lukas Academy in Brussels, an adjunct professor at the California College of Arts in San Francisco and a guest lecturer at the American Institute of Graphic Arts in Washington, DC. He has presented his work at Pecha Kucha New York and his work has appeared in the New York Times, VMagazine, Dossier Journal, Paper, Casa Vogue, Bidoun, the Fader, Casa Brutus, Communication Arts, +81 and I.D.
